Publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure reached 1,157,551 charging points, an increase of 15.2% compared with July 2025. The figures show that Europe continues to expand the charging network needed to support the transition to electric mobility.
Electric vehicle registrations are also rising strongly. Across the 12 EU countries with July data available, 202,597 new battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were registered during the month. This represents year-on-year growth of 41.8%, while BEVs accounted for 26.3% of new passenger-car registrations in these markets.
All 12 reporting countries recorded year-on-year growth in BEV registrations. France recorded the strongest increase, followed by Ireland, while Germany remained the largest market in absolute terms among the countries included in the July update.
The continued expansion of both EV registrations and public charging infrastructure is a positive signal for Europe’s electric mobility market. As more electric vehicles enter European roads, reliable and accessible charging infrastructure will become increasingly important for drivers, businesses, workplaces and property owners.
