A new public funding program has been launched in Croatia to support the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The initiative provides €32 million in grants aimed at accelerating the deployment of high-power charging stations across the country.
The program focuses on co-financing the installation of publicly accessible charging stations with a minimum capacity of 50 kW. This approach is designed to strengthen the national charging network and improve accessibility for EV users.
Eligible applicants include companies of all sizes, from small and medium enterprises to large businesses. The funding range per project starts at €120,000 and can go up to €12.8 million, depending on the scale and scope of the proposal.
The initiative is part of the broader National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aiming to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, cut CO₂ emissions, and support the transition toward sustainable transport.
Overall, the program is expected to boost investment in charging infrastructure, create new business opportunities, and strengthen Croatia’s position in the growing European electric mobility market.
