Slovenia secures 10.5 mln euro EU grant for transport electrification

The European Commission will grant €10.5 million to a project coordinated by the port operator Luka Koper. SeeNews

  • The funding will support electrification of public transport in Ljubljana’s Celovska and Verovskova bus depots, and upgrade logistics at the port of Koper with 76 charging points and 39 electric units. SeeNews
  • The project also includes installation of five solar PV systems (two at the Verovskova depot, three at the Port of Koper) to support clean energy supply. SeeNews
  • This is part of a broader EU effort — one of ~70 projects receiving over €600 million in grants to electrify and decarbonise transport along the TEN-T network. SeeNews
